Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers see theatre more clearly: specific questions, grounded explanations and fresh angles on plays, performance, stagecraft, theatre history or the experience of attending.

What to pitch

Bring us one clear idea, not a broad promise to cover theatre. A strong proposal names its central question, explains what a reader will understand or notice by the end, and shows why the subject suits Southern Theatre Guide. Comparative, historical and explanatory angles are welcome when their scope is manageable.

Make the case

Tell us the proposed format, likely length and the knowledge or material the piece depends on. Explain how you will distinguish evidence from interpretation and what trade-offs or competing views the reader should understand. Do not send confidential material or claim access, experience or credentials you cannot substantiate.

How to send a proposal

Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A proposal is not an assignment or a promise of publication. Please do not submit a complete article unless we have asked for one.
